Paradox Interactive has announced After Dark, the first expansion for Cities: Skylines.
After Dark, which developer Colossal Order began teasing back in July, introduces a new day-to-night cycle – and with it comes new specialised areas, city services, transportation systems, graphical enhancements, and citizen behaviour. For instance, leisure-focused commercial areas can now turn into thriving nightspots, while beachfront properties will fare better when the sun is up.
New areas include nightclubs, restaurants, bowling alleys, fishing tours, marinas, and beach bars. Citizens can take taxis between these new areas, and cargo hubs and international airports expand tourism opportunities.
