Far Cry 5 Has Been Delayed

Ubisoft has delayed two of its upcoming games, Far Cry 5 and The Crew 2, as well as one unannounced title.

Far Cry 5’s release date has been pushed back for one month and will come out on March 27, 2018 instead of its originally announced release date of February 27, 2018. Meanwhile, The Crew 2 will now be released sometime in the first half of the 2018-2019 fiscal year rather than on March 16, 2018. That fiscal year runs from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019.

In addition, Ubisoft also delayed a third, unannounced franchise title. The game, originally┬áplanned for release in the 2018-19 fiscal year, will now come out in the 2019-2020 fiscal year instead. This unknown game is the reason for the delays is to allow developers more time to work on these three games. This is an approach, Ubisoft notes, the company took with past titles like Assassin’s Creed Origins.
